Winter can get so cold and dreary sometimes, it can be tough to come home and focus on making something nice for dinner, as well as try to keep warm.

The logical solution to this would be a warm, relatively cheap and easy to make meal that can both taste good and warm your belly. Therefore, we have comprised a list of 5 delicious meals that are sure to warm and fill you up.

When it comes to easy to make warm meals, it’s hard to go past a big bowl of delicious curry. Thai green curry is a simple, yet tasty chicken-based meal that will only take roughly 20 minutes to cook.

A great meal to leave in the wok or pot until you’re ready also, Thai green chicken curry is a meal that can easily become a staple of the household this winter.

Bacon & Beef Pasta Bake

A nice, warm pasta bake on a chilly winter’s night will sound like an ideal night to most. There are numerous ways to make a pasta bake, with choices of beef, chicken, vegetarian and more. However, we’ve gone with a simple bacon & beef pasta bake.

This bake takes roughly an hour to cook but quick to prepare and won’t disappoint with its great blend of flavors that wonderfully compliment each other.

Shepherd’s Pie

A classic family meal, shepherd’s pie is popular for a reason, as it is an incredibly tasty lamb based meal beautifully blended with its potato, vegetables and sauces.

Only taking roughly 15 minutes to prepare and an hour to cook, this easy to make meal is sure to keep your stomach full, your spirits high and your body warm in the harsh cold.

Spicy Pumpkin Soup

While a traditional pumpkin soup wouldn’t necessarily be considered spicy, this spin on a classic just has to be tried and tested. An easy meal that can be prepared and cooked in under an hour, this pumpkin based soup with an added kick is one you’ll see yourself going back to and keep you hooked.

For those who are less partial to spicy food, don’t worry, this soup is equally delicious without the chilli and is a sure-fire way to warm your insides.

This cozy casserole can take a couple of hours to cook, but is definitely worth the wait. Taking roughly 15 minutes to prepare, this meal is be used in an oven or slow cooker.

The beautiful and tender lamb practically falling off the shanks are terrific with a rich and thick gravy base. This is paired greatly with a buttery potato mash. Make sure you cross this off your winter meal bucket list.
